CNC Machining of Billet Aluminum Oil Pan with Cooling Fins

The component shown is a high-performance Custom Aluminum Oil Pan designed for automotive racing applications. Unlike traditional cast or stamped steel pans, this billet unit is machined from a solid block of Aluminum 6061-T6. This manufacturing method ensures superior structural integrity, eliminating the risk of porosity-induced leaks and providing greater resistance to road debris impact.
Our CNC Machining Solution
We processed the aluminum billet using multi-axis CNC milling to create the integrated cooling fins and precision mounting features. The design includes extensive fin structures to increase heat dissipation, while maintaining a rigid, leak-proof structure.
Critical sealing surfaces and mounting holes were machined to strict tolerances to ensure proper fitment. Finally, the component was treated with a black anodized finish to improve corrosion resistance and thermal efficiency. We successfully delivered the custom automotive part that met the client’s design specifications.
