Custom Cross Shaft: 4 Threaded Arms, One Center

We make custom stainless steel cross shafts strictly following customer drawings. The center is a square block with a through hole, and four stepped arms extend out at 90-degree angles. There are two sizes of arms: one set is thicker with big threads, the other thinner with small studs on the tips. Every arm has steps, shoulders and external threads. The key rule from the drawing: all four arms must be spaced exactly 90 degrees apart, lie on the same central plane, and stay perpendicular to the center bore.
These cross shafts fit many uses: universal joint spider crosses, stabilizer and antenna gimbal cores, differential planetary pinion shafts, multi-axis force sensor elastic components. No matter the application, one standard stays the same: all shaft axes must intersect exactly as shown on drawings.
Need a Part Like This?
We custom produce cross shafts, joint spiders and gimbal center parts. For these pieces, the positional relationship between every feature is just as important as the parts themselves. We machine cross shafts from stainless steel, alloy steel and aluminum, fully built to drawing specs. All geometric tolerances are verified during final inspection.
