Custom Aluminum CNC Machining for Shielding Cover

We were contracted to manufacture a custom aluminum shielding can for a telecommunications equipment manufacturer. The component was designed to provide electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) shielding for sensitive RF circuitry within a base station module.
The design featured a pyramid-like outer structure with a deep internal cavity. Key requirements included:
- Precise locations for mounting holes and internal threading to ensure accurate assembly.
- A side cutout for cable or component clearance.
- Strict dimensional tolerances to ensure a flush fit with the mating base, which is critical for effective electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding.

The internal structure requires significant material removal while maintaining wall thickness and structural stability.
The shielding covers were manufactured strictly according to the provided CAD models and 2D drawings. All dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements were met, providing the client with reliable components for their communication hardware assembly.
